How to Unlock a Password for the Wii Fit Mii

The Nintendo "Wii Fit" system encourages players to get off the couch and into the game, partly for a series of fun mini-games and partly for exercise. Because the game does store and use some fairly sensitive information about players, such as heights and weights, you might want to put a password on the Mii you use in the game. You may forget this password, or not have the password for a friend's Mii, but there is a way around that.

Instructions

  Power on your Wii console to load the Wii Fit game or channel. Select the player whose password you need to unlock.

  Type in a number when prompted for the password number. This can be a genuine guess as to what the PIN might be, or any random number. When ready, press the "OK" button. If the number is correct, it will unlock, otherwise, you will have to try again.

  Repeat the guessing process between three and five times. The game will ask you "Are you really 'Mii's name'?"

  Select "Yes." The game will now ask you for the height of the Mii you're trying to unlock.

  Input the height, in feet and inches, which the player originally input into the system.

  Turn off the password on the Mii "User Settings" screen if you like, or you can set a new password or delete the character.
