How to Reset Wii Fit Goals

"Wii Fit" encourages you to reach the ideal weight for your age and height. During your first body test, you're asked to set a weight goal and a target time to reach it. Once the goal is set, you have to wait two weeks to change it unless you meet your target weight or the deadline passes. However, if you've entered the wrong target weight -- by accidentally setting your goal to weight gain instead of weight loss, for example -- and don't want to wait, you can trick "Wii Fit" into resetting your goals.

Instructions

  1. Weight Gain Goal

    • 1

Fill your backpack with books or other heavy objects, adding enough weight to account for the difference between your weight and your "Wii Fit" target weight goal.

    • 2

Choose your "Wii Fit" profile and select "Body Test."

    • 3

Put the backpack on. Step onto the balance board when prompted and wait for "Wii Fit" to record your weight. Add more weight to the backpack and repeat the body test if you didn't meet the weight-gain goal the first time.

    • 4

Repeat the body test, this time without the backpack, to measure your true weight.

    • 5

Choose a new weight goal and deadline at the end of the body test.

    Resetting the Calendar

    • 6

Press the "Wii Options" button on the bottom left corner of the Wii main menu. Select "Wii Settings." Select "Calendar," then "Date."

    • 7

Advance the date on the calendar to at least two weeks past the deadline in your "Wii Fit" goal. Press "Confirm."

    • 8

Launch "Wii Fit" and enter the profile for your character. Perform a body test.

    • 9

Return to the Wii main menu and reset the calendar to the correct date.

    • 10

Enter "Wii Fit" once again and perform a body test with your profile; you'll be able to set a new goal at the end.
