How to Set Up the Wii Controller to Play Two Players on Mario Kart Wii

Connecting a second Wii controller to your Wii console is essential when playing multiplayer Wii games. "Mario Kart 64" is a multiplayer racing game created by Nintendo. Similar to "Mario Kart 64" for the Nintendo 64, "Mario Kart Wii" requires a controller for each player. Connecting the second controller is comparable to connecting the first Wii controller.

  Open the door located on the front of the Wii. This window contains the SD Card slot.

  Remove the battery cover on the back of the second Wii remote.

  Press the button labeled "Sync" located under the battery cover on the back of the Wii remote.

  Press the button labeled "Sync" located on the front of the Wii console. This button is located above the SD Card slot.

  Look at the LED light on the front of your Wii remote. When the light finishes blinking, the synchronizing is complete.
