My Squeezebox Won't Connect

The Logitech Squeezebox is a portable, hand-held media device that plays back both video and audio files. To upload this information to the Squeezebox, you must hook up the equipment to a computer system. If, however, the Squeezebox is not being detected by the computer, you need to troubleshoot the situation to determine what exactly is causing the problem.

  Install the provided software that came with the Logitech Squeezebox. You must use this software to upload information to the device.

  Check the USB data cable running from the Logitech Squeezebox to the computer. The USB cable must be completely inserted into both the device and the computer.

  Disconnect the USB cable running into the computer. Some USB ports fail to detect the Logitech Squeezebox or occasionally die out. When this occurs, removing the USB cable from the system and connecting it to a different port corrects the problem.

  Power on the Squeezebox after you have connected it to a computer, then launch the installed software. Choose the connected device as the hardware you want to use and the programming automatically displays all the files stored on the Squeezebox.
