Instructions
Go to Telma's Bar in Castle Town after completing the Temple of Time stage. Look at the map on the table. This will show you the location of Shad within Kakariko Village.
Warp to Kakariko using the Castle Town warp portal and go to Renando's place. Shad is in the basement, but you can't do anything with him yet. Talk with Renando and he will give you a letter.
Return to Castle Town by warping and give Renando's letter to Telma to receive an invoice. Head to the west side of town and give the invoice to the doctor to learn about the wood statue stolen from Ilia.
Transform into your wolf form and push the wood block to the northwest of the doctor's office to discover the medicine scent. Follow the scent to find Telma's cat, who will tell you that the statue was stolen from her.
Leave the castle town via the south gate and head to the field below. When monsters encircle you, defeat them with your energy shield and claim the wooden statue.
Return to Kakariko after becoming human again and give the statue to Ilia; this will give you the aid of the Gorons.
Head to the northwest end of Hyrule Field and enter the cave to find Darbus. He will destroy the boulder that blocks your way to the Hidden Village.
Defeat all the monsters in the Hidden Village making use of your bow with the Hawkeye attachment and the exploding barrels in the town. You'll get Ilia's charm once all 20 monsters are gone.
Return to Ilia and show her the charm to restore her memory of you and receive the horse call. Go back to the old woman who gave you the charm and show her the Dominion Rod to get the Ancient Sky Book.
Go back to Renando's place, head for the basement and show the Sky Book to Shad. Shad will show you where to find the missing symbols within the book, and the Dominion Rod's power will be restored.
