Cars is a racing game for the Nintendo Wii based on Disney Pixar's movie of the same name. It features playable characters such as Lightning McQueen, Count Spatula and Sally. Cars for Wii features a single-player Story mode where the mission is to help Lightning McQueen win the Piston Cup championship, as in the movie. You can use bonus tokens to unlock characters and other surprises; take shortcuts to open new chapters quickly; and enter cheats to unlock new characters, cars and race tracks.

Hidden Bonus Tokens
- You can collect red with white lightning (worth 100 points), red with yellow lightning (worth 500 points), and gold bonus tokens (worth 2,000 points) throughout each chapter of Story mode. You can use your bonus points to unlock new characters, concept art and movies. In Chapter 3, you must navigate through an orchard until you find a broken cart that you may use to jump the orchard's fence. After you jump the fence, you will find a trail of tokens that leads to a postcard. In Chapter 4 of Story mode, a large waterfall with a cliff becomes accessible. Jump onto the cliff to discover another trail of bonus tokens. Shortcuts
- You can take shortcuts to win chapter races and also earn bonus points in Story mode. A shortcut is available in the second race of Chapter 1. After passing the firehouse curve, take the dirt road on the right side of the racetrack. This dirt road helps you avoid spinning out due to the sharp curve, giving you the opportunity to get ahead of the racers who lost control. In Chapter 2, you can take a shortcut to find the postcard required to unlock Ornament Valley. A fence around the drive-in theater blocks you from accessing the pit. Drive up the dirt ramp beside the drive-in theater to discover a dirt path blocked by a large boulder. According to Neoseeker.com, you can jump over this boulder using your car's boost-jump acceleration. This shortcut takes you to the remaining postcards required to unlock Chapter 3.
Cheats
- Enter the "Cheats" screen from the main menu of Cars to enter cheats and unlock characters, cars and race tracks. According to IGN.com, "MATTL66" unlocks all race tracks, "R4MONE" unlocks all characters and "YAYCARS" unlocks all cars. Gamespot.com lists "WATCHIT" to unlock bonus movies, "CONC3PT" to unlock concept art and "IF900HP" to unlock all mini-games.
