How to Ski Jump Far on a Wii

"Wii Fit" is a collection of physical activity games for the Nintendo Wii that includes aerobics, strength and balance games. The "Ski Jump" game in the collection is a balance game that uses the "Wii Fit" balance board. The goal of the game is to jump as far as you can once you reach the end of the ski jump. You will jump further if your center of balance is perfect and if you jump at the right time.

      Click on the "Ski Jump" game on the "Wii Fit" game menu. Select "Start game."

      Step onto the "Wii Fit" balance board when the screen asks you to.

      Crouch your knees, bend forward and place your arms straight behind you, parallel to the sides of your stomach. Your Wii character will begin skiing down the hill after the three-second countdown.

      Keep your center of balance in the blue dot in the box at the top-right of the screen. The red dot represents your center of balance and will move as you do. For example, if your body is not far enough forward, the red dot will be behind the blue dot, and if you're too far left, it will go to the left of the blue dot.

      Stand up and lean forward when your Wii character reaches the red zone at the end of the ramp (make sure not to actually jump, which is bad for the balance board). You will jump further the longer you wait to stand up inside the red zone, but you will crash if you wait too long. Stand up in the middle of the zone. The distance you jump will appear in the center of the screen.
