Standard Play
Clear the area in front of your television of any furniture that can get in the way of your swing. Stand about 5 feet away from your television and position yourself so you look directly at the screen.
Press the directional pad up, down, left or right to adjust the aim of your shot. Adjust the line that extends from your golfer so it overlaps with the hole.
Press "1" on the Wii Remote to change the type of shot you are performing. Choose from a full shot, punch shot and pitch shot.
Hold down "B" and press the up and down directional buttons to select your club.
Hold "B" and press left or right to adjust the loft of the ball. Higher lofts are more susceptible to the effects of a strong wind.
Grip the Wii Remote in your dominant hand. Stand up and point the Wii Remote directly at the floor. Adjust your body so your shoulders are perpendicular to the television screen. Place your other hand around your dominant hand on the Wii Remote.
Press and hold "B." Pull your arms away from the television. Swing your arms down and then towards the television screen as if you are hitting a real gold ball. The power of the swing will be replicated on the screen.
Press and hold "B" when the ball is in the air and swing the controller back and forth to add spin and direct the ball towards the hole.
Putting
Press "1" to select the putt shot. Look at the colored dots between your golfer and the hole. Red dots signify an uphill slope, blue is a downhill slope, yellow is a small uphill slope and green is a level putting line.
Press the left and right directional buttons to aim the shot.
Position yourself as you would when putting for real, hold "B" and take a gentle swing to send the ball at the hole.
