Explore the World
This is an "open-world" game, meaning that you can explore the countryside as you wish. Be sure to search every corner of the map--this is the only way to find all of the races in the game. Compete in all the races to unlock more additional content.
Avoid the Brakes
As with most racing games, you'll use one button for the gas pedal and another button for the brake. Generally, you don't want to hit the brake unless it's absolutely necessary. To maintain the highest possible speed, let off the gas before you reach a curve. Coast through the section until you complete the turn, and then step on it.
Unlockable Cars
Enter the code "MATTEL07" in the "Options" menu to unlock all of the game's available cars. The password "PAINTIT" will unlock the alternate colors for all of the cars, except for Lightning McQueen. To get McQueen's alternate paint scheme, use the code "NCEDUDZ."
Modes and Levels
You can unlock all of the story and arcade modes (as well as mini-games) with the password "PLAYALL." If you've got the hang of "Cars Mater-National Championship," try your racing skills in the game's big leagues. If you enter the code "VRYFAST," you will unlock the "expert" level.
Turbo Boosts
You occasionally get a burst of speed in this game, but it will be easier to set track records with the code "ZZOOOOM." This cheat give your car unlimited turbo boosts.
