Nintendo Wii Game Instructions

From "Super Mario Galaxy" to "Boom Blox" and "Rayman Raving Rabbids," the Nintendo Wii features a variety of game genres and play styles among the thousands of titles that have been released for the console. The system plays discs for both the Wii and the Nintendo GameCube, and you can download more games via the Internet connection.

Instructions

  Insert the game disc with the label facing to the right if you have positioned your Wii in an upright, or vertical, position. If the Wii is lying flat, insert the disc with the label facing upwards.

  Select the Disc Channel on the Wii Menu. This is the channel in the top left corner of the first menu screen. Move the cursor to this channel and press the "A" button. This will open the channel preview screen. Select "Start" to begin the game.

  Review the instruction booklet of the game you are playing for specific controls for the game.

  Eject the disc and return it to its case when you are done playing. Press the power button on the front of the Wii console to turn the system off.

  Play a Virtual Console or WiiWare game by accessing its channel from the Wii Menu. Start the game as you would for the Disc Channel. You can view the control instructions for this type of game by hitting the "Home" key on the Wii remote and choosing "Operations Guide."
