Can the Drums for the Rockband Wii Work as Drums for the Guitar Hero Wii?

The "Rock Band" and "Guitar Hero" rhythm game series have many similarities, but the games are produced by different developers. In some cases, one game's instruments can be used to play a game from another series, but there are compatibility issues on the Wii console.

Game Details
- "Rock Band" and "Rock Band 2," made by Harmonix, both feature guitar, bass, drums and vocals. The first three game in Activision's "Guitar Hero" franchise only use a guitar, but all of the later games in the series, including "Guitar Hero World Tour," "Guitar Hero Van Halen" and "Band Hero," feature a full complement of four instruments.
"Rock Band" Wii Drum Compatibility
- The drum kits bundled with both "Rock Band" and "Rock Band 2" can only be used to play those games and aren't compatible with any "Guitar Hero" titles.
"Guitar Hero" Wii Drum Compatibility
- The "Guitar Hero World Tour" and "Band Hero" drum sets can be used to play "Rock Band 2" on the Wii, but aren't compatible with the original "Rock Band" game.
