Tips for Wii Tanks

Wii's game "Wii Play" allows you to pick from nine different games from the main screen. The ninth game is "Tanks!" which is a battle game in which you control a tank and must destroy all of the enemy tanks so that you can advance to the next level. You aim with the Wiimote and move with either the directional pad or the Nunchuk.
  1. Bouncing

    • By using your surroundings, such as walls and buildings, you can bounce your shells to hit enemies from around corners. Learning to accurately bounce shells will give you a distinct advantage because you can hide around corners or at the end of corridors and snipe enemies without them ever seeing you.

    Mines

    • Mines are a very handy tool in your arsenal. Once a mine is placed, it will blow up from proximity to another tank, by being shot with a shell or just after a random amount of time. Mines can be used to block off enemies or to destroy small buildings and walls so that you can get at enemies faster. By placing a mine between you and an enemy and then retreating, you may lure the enemy over the mine.

    Lives

    • When your tank is destroyed, you lose a life, but you can earn a bonus life for every five stages that you clear. When you are out of lives and are destroyed, the game is over.

    Evading

    • You are allowed to fire five shots in a round, but if you fire only four, you allow yourself to move to evade an enemy shell. Evading attacks is far better than destroying the opponent, because you will be able to live to fight another encounter.
