How to Update the Wii SD Card Rock Band Songs

The Rock Band Music Store is an online store used by Rock Band gamers on the Wii to update the game with additional songs. The Wii version of the first Rock Band does not support downloading additional songs to update the game, but the other Rock Band titles on the Wii do support downloadable content. Most, but not all, of the songs require purchase with Wii Points before being downloaded. Due to the limited internal memory of the Wii, the songs are automatically stored on an SD card.

Things You'll Need

Any Rock Band game, except the first one
SD card
Wii Points (optional)
Internet connection

Instructions

  Click "Music Store" in the main menu of the Rock Band game. This option is not usable if the Wii console is not connected to the Internet.

  Click "Continue" on the prompt that appears.

  Press the "-" button to change how the songs are sorted. Songs can be supported by difficulty, song title, artist or genre.

  Click the song title you want to download to your SD card.

  Click "Yes" in the prompt to start downloading the song. The prompt contains the Wii Point cost for that song.

  Wait for the song to download completely to the SD card. The Rock Band set list will automatically update to include the new song.
