How to Use Wii Guitar Hero Guitar for Rock Band

"Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band" are two separate video game franchises with similar gameplay features. All "Guitar Hero" guitars are not compatible with all "Rock Band" games. Before purchasing a Wii "Guitar Hero" guitar or "Rock Band" video game, you should determine which guitars are compatible with which games. Earlier releases of "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band" are likely to be incompatible, but recent releases like "Beatles Rock Band" and "Green Day Rock Band" generally offer more compatibility. Wii Remote
Wii "Rock Band" software
Wii "Guitar Hero" guitar

Instructions

  Remove the remote cover found on the back body of the Wii "Guitar Hero" guitar.

  Plug the connector inside the Wii "Guitar Hero" guitar into the Wii Remote and insert the Wii Remote into the Wii "Guitar Hero" guitar. Once inserted, there should be room for the Wii Remote strap to rest above the Wii Remote inside the guitar. Simply tuck the strap above the Wii Remote. If you haven't already, press the "A" button to turn the Wii Remote on.

  Insert the "Rock Band" game of your choice into the Wii console. Wait for it to load. The "Rock Band" icon will appear in the upper-left corner of the Wii's menu.

  Using the "Guitar Hero" analog stick, located on the bottom-right corner, move the Wii finger cursor onto the "Rock Band" icon in the upper-left-corner of the Wii menu. Click the "A" button on the Wii Remote (inside the guitar) to load the "Rock Band" title page.

  Move the analog stick down to the bottom-right corner of the "Rock Band" title page and click "START" with the "A" Button. Begin gameplay.
