How to Update a Wii System

      Using Wii online allows you to surf on a bigger screen than your typical computer monitor.

      Turn on your Wii that you’ve all ready set up to go online per the Wii operations manual. The page will automatically open to the main menu.

      Look in the bottom left corner of the screen. You’ll see a little bubble with the word Wii inside of it. When you move the Wii remote over this bubble, it will read “Options.” Click the "A" button over it, and a new screen will open.

      Click on the “Wii Settings” button. The new screen will have two choices, “Data Management” or “Wii Settings.”

      Click twice on the blue arrow to the side of the list that pops up. This step will take you to the Wii System Settings 3 menu options.

      Select "Wii System Update." It will say “Connect to the Internet and perform a Wii system update?“ Hit the "A" button to select the YES option. When the user agreement form comes up on the screen, select "I Accept." The screen will say “Testing Connection” and then “Updating System” with a loading bar.

      Click OK once it is done loading. The screen will say “The Wii system update is complete.” The latest Wii system updates from Nintendo have been installed.
