How to Use 2 Guitars on Wii Rockband

Released for the Nintendo Wii system in June 2008, the original "Rock Band" video game, developed by Harmonix and rated "Teen" by the ESRB, allows up to four players to enjoy playing together as they jam through many classic and modern rock songs. Players can choose any combination from the guitar, bass, drum and vocal portions of these songs to play with friends. To play the guitar and bass portions together a user must hook up two guitar peripherals to the Nintendo Wii.

Instructions

  1. Hooking Up Two Guitars

    • 1

      Insert the USB adapter, included with your "Rock Band" kit, into the back of your Wii console's USB port.

      Plug the two guitar wireless dongles into the USB adapter, and turn on your guitar peripherals.

      Insert the "Rock Band" video game disc into your Nintendo Wii console.

      Select the "Rock Band" icon on the Wii Channel Menu with your Wii Remote by scrolling over it with your cursor and pushing the "A" button.

      Select from the "Band Tour," "Band Quickplay," "Tug of War" or "Score Duel" multiplayer options using your Wii Remote.

      Scroll through the list of available songs and select one that both players would enjoy. For the "Band Tour" and "Band Quickplay" modes one player selects to play the guitar/lead guitar portions of the song while the other selects the bass/rhythm guitar portions.
