Mario &Sonic at the Olympic Games is a sports game for the Nintendo DS and Wii. The game sees the titular rival mascots settling their long differences in a sporting fashion at the world's best-known athletic event. There are a wide variety of events offered in Mario &Sonic at the Olympic Games, but not all are accessible initially. Both versions of the game award new events for placing first in the "Circuit" mode.

Complete all events in the first Circuit to unlock more challenging circuits, which include new events.

Complete all Circuits to unlock all events, which can then be played in the "Single Match" and "Versus Play" versions of the game.
