Types of Pitches
To throw a fastball, flick your wrist forward with a short, snapping motion. An elaborate wind-up and followthrough---while fun---will not help you throw any faster. The trick is in the wrist snap, which will "trick" the Wii sensor into believing you have moved your arm quickly.
To throw a change-up, use the same method as throwing a fastball---except don't flick your wrist as hard. It's good to alternate between fastballs and change-ups to keep your opponent off balance.
To throw a screwball, flick the Wii-mote forward while holding down the 'A' button. The ball will curve to the right.
To throw a curveball, flick the Wii-mote forward while holding down the 'B' button. The ball will curve to the left.
To throw a splitter, flick the Wii-mote forward while holding both the 'A' and the 'B' buttons. The pitch will resemble a change-up, except it will drop and hit the ground at the last moment. If the batter does not swing, this will always be called a ball.
