Select ̶0;Relationship Book̶1; from the ̶0;My Stuff̶1; menu to discover more information about the character whose home you are building. Take note of their interests, as you will want to build a house that suits their interest. Every design element features qualities such as cute, geeky or spooky.
Approach an empty lot to start building the house for the Sim in question.
Use the cursor to place the large gray base blocks in the desired location. Use the directional pad to rotate pieces and the Nunchuk's analog stick to zoom. You can stack the base blocks on top of one another to create a two-story house, but you cannot go any higher than two stories.
Select and place a roof on top of the bases you have set. Roofs come in different shapes and sizes to match the needs of your house.
Attach windows, doors and other design elements. As you place these elements on the house, continually check the ̶0;Interests Wheel̶1; menu by clicking the wheel on the left of the screen. This brings up a listing, by percentage, of the house̵7;s qualities (aforementioned cuteness, geekyness, spookyness, etc). Alter the decorations as necessary to fit the interests of the Sim.
Paint the house once you have finished decorating. Click the paint brush icon in the upper-left corner of the screen. Select a color and use the brush to paint just about every feature of the house, from the walls to the roof to the doors.
Click ̶0;Done̶1; to finish building and let the Sim move in.
