Boom Blox
"Boom Blox," released by Electronic Arts in 2008, gives young gamers the chance to throw projectiles at a tower of blocks to knock them over. Children must simply make gestures to topple the blocks or pull them out of a tower and keep it from tumbling. The game, which accommodates up to four players at a time, provides over 300 challenges for kids to choose from.
Wii Music
Many music games require complicated timing in pressing buttons and coordinating movements. However, "Wii Music" merely requires kids to move around with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck like the instrument on the screen. The game can be more complicated for adults, with options to create whole chords with certain buttons. For kids, playing this game can be as simple as dancing around the room.
SimAnimals: Africa
"SimAnimals: Africa" gives kids the chance to pet, feed and generally interact with zoo animals. There are tasks in the game that may be interesting for older kids. However, younger children will find a lot of enjoyment in simply interacting with the animals. The list of animals includes lions, zebras, alligators and elephants. The game provides both fun and exposure to new animals and worlds for children.
