Controller Options for Call of Duty for Wii

"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" for the Nintendo Wii is the self-proclaimed number-one shooting game in the world. With its success on other rival consoles, the makers of "Call of Duty" decided to make a whole new adventure on the Nintendo Wii that complements the Wii's unique controller scheme.
  1. The Wii Remote

    • The primary controller scheme for Wii games is the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, and "Call of Duty 4" is no exception. With the Wii Remote in hand, the first thing you can do is shoot your gun. By pressing the "A" button, you have control over your gun. (Make sure that you do not get too trigger happy though, since most of the time you have limited ammo.) You can also accomplish short-range attacks with the Wii Remote. With a flick of this controller, your solider can stab or attack an enemy in close enough range. The Wii Remote also has control over your sight. Moving the Wii Remote right allows you to see right, and moving it left allow you to see left. Also, the Wii Remote's directional pad allows you to change your weapons and activate special gear (such as night vision goggles, thermal goggles and grenades).

    The Nunchuck

    • The Nunchuck, which you must connect to the Wii Remote, has some of the most important controller options for "Call of Duty 4." The Nunchuck allows to you reload your gun when you are out of ammo. With a flick of your wrist, you can reload your gun and continue shooting. The analog stick on the top of the Nunchuck allows you to move your soldier in any direction. This controller proves important while defending yourself as well. With the help of the Wii Remote, you can use the Nunchuck to push over an enemy and hit him with your gun. The last thing that the Nunchuck does is crank up and shoot missiles from large tanks.

    The Nintendo Zapper

    • For a more realistic feel during game play, you can use the Nintendo Zapper controller with "Call of Duty 4." The Zapper is a gun-shaped controller upon which you mount your Wii Remote and Nunchuck. With the Zapper, you can do all of the same actions as with the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck. For example, with the trigger on the Wii Zapper, you can shoot enemies with ease. By flicking the Zapper, you can reload your gun or attack a nearby enemy. Moving the Zapper to the left and right allows you to look in those respective directions. In addition, with the analog stick on the Nunchuck, you can advance your character through a level.
