Mad Dog McCree Gunslinger Pack
"Mad Dog McCree Gunslinger Pack" was developed by Digital Leisure Inc. and released by Majesco on June 16, 2009. The game is a collection of three arcade shooters that appeared on multiple video game platforms in the 1990s: "Mad Dog McCree" (1990), "Mad Dog II: The Lost Gold" (1992) and "The Last Bounty Hunter" (1994.) Being light gun shooters, you simply aim the Wii Remote and press the trigger to shoot enemies as you pursue the title character. These games are particularly notable for their use of cinematic footage with live actors as opposed to computer graphics. The game features three modes: a single player mode, a four-player cooperative mode called Posse Mode, and a four-player mode called Rebel mode where players compete at the same time to get the highest score.
Fast Draw Showdown
Released on January 4, 2010, "Fast Draw Showdown," originally from 1994, is a live-action light gun shooter also developed by Digital Leisure Inc. However, this video game is a downloadable WiiWare game and not found in stores. While "Mad Dog McCree" is an adventure game, "Fast Draw Showdown" focuses on dueling, as players need to draw their gun and shoot faster than their opponent. "Fast Draw Showdown" features both single-player and multiplayer modes.
Wild West Guns
The downloadable WiiWare game "Wild West Guns" was released on August 4, 2008 by Gameloft. The game is also a light gun shooter using the Wii Remote to shoot targets like cowboys, vultures and balloons in six Wild West levels including a train robbery, a saloon and a desert, with three different challenges per level. As you hit targets and earn points you can earn various medals and rewards. "Wild West Guns" features a single player mode, two-player cooperative and competitive modes and is also available as an iPhone game.
Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure
Developed by Tate Interactive and released by Atari, "Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure" is a collection of minigames based on the animated film, about a cowboy chasing a group of bank robbers. There are 40 minigames that follow the plot of the movie composed of four game types: shooting, dodging objects while moving, drawing and rhythm, all with cartoony visuals. While "Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure" is exclusive to Europe, interested parties may be able to import the game but would require a Wii capable of playing PAL games.
