How to Activate Squadmate Second Player in Call of Duty for Wii

Developer Activision̵7;s entry into the ̶0;Call of Duty̶1; game series has received both critical and consumer praise for being a realistic interpretation of actual combat situations. The Modern Warfare Reflex Edition for the Nintendo Wii allows the use of an additional human-controlled squad mate during heavy enemy conflicts, which is useful when facing seemingly overwhelming odds during firefights. All one needs is an additional Wii remote and a willing friend to get involved in the game and see it through.

Instructions

    • 1

Check the Wii system̵7;s attachments to make sure all connections are secure, then power up the console and insert a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare--Reflex Edition into the face of the Wii. Check the batteries of the Wii remote, as well as that of the additional remote required for activating the Squad Mate option.

    • 2

Replace any batteries if applicable, then start a new game by selecting that option on the in-game menu screen. Begin the new campaign as directed by the on-screen directions. Follow the initial directions, then, once prompted, engage the enemy in direct combat.

    • 3

Power up the second Wii remote, then select the option to allow the second Squad Mate to join the game. Have the second gamer collect their own ammo and weapons, but keep in mind only player one will be allowed to roam freely through the maps, as the second player can only see what the first person sees, despite the split screen.
