Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn off the system and unplug all of the cables. Move it to a hard, flat surface that gives you room to work, such as a large table.
Flip the console upside down and remove the silver Phillips screw. Slide the battery out of its compartment.
Remove the two Tri-wing and two Phillips screws behind the black controller cover.
Remove the two Tri-wing and three Phillips screws on the battery side of the Wii. These screws will be located under the rubber feet and square stickers. Removing these stickers will let the manufacturer know that your console has been tampered with, voiding your warranty.
Remove the four Tri-wing screws on the bottom of the Wii (with the Wii in horizontal position). There are two silver ones located under the rubber feet near the back of the console and two black ones located under stickers near the faceplate.
Remove the faceplate. It should come off when gently pried loose. Be sure to disconnect the red and black connector to free the faceplate from the rest of the Wii.
Remove the top cover. With all of the screws removed, this should come off easily.
