Serving
To hit a fast-paced serve, you will need to time your service motion so that you make contact with the ball at the peak of the toss. If this is done correctly, you should see a streak behind the ball. This type of serve will be harder for the opponent to return, and you can quickly win points. Make sure the tip of the controller is angled forward and down at contact. A slow, high serve can drive your opponent crazy and make him miss several returns. To hit a slow serve, wait for the ball to drop very low before hitting it.
Spins
Hitting with topspin can give you an advantage with sharp angled shots, keeping you opponent on the defensive. To hit with topspin, hold your hand a little forward and make your controller go from a low to a high position when hitting the ball. To hit with backspin, hold your hand a little backward and make your controller go from a high to a low position when hitting the ball. You will have an edge over your opponent once you have mastered these spins.
Strategy
Play long points to wear down your opponents. Long points make your opponents sweat, and they will slow down during the game, giving you the opportunity to hit winners. If you notice that your opponents are at the net, hit a lob over their heads. To hit a lob, move your controller from low to high, straight up with no forward movement when hitting the ball. In doubles play, use your topspin, hit a sharp angled shot to get your opponent off to one side of the court, then use your net player to hit the ball back to the open side of the court.
