Tips for Skate It for Wii

"Skate It," released for the Nintendo Wii and DS in 2008, is a skateboarding video game. It uses motion controls to maneuver the skateboard around several lifelike environments. There are some tips for "Skate It" that will help you get through the game and unlock items by completing certain missions and milestones.
  1. Controls

    • The controls for "Skate It" are simple to understand, but the actual motions are difficult to perfect. To push the board forward, press the "A" button, and use the "B" button to hold the board. Tricks are performed with the Wii remote. Hold it flat facing the TV, then move it as if it were the board you are standing on. To learn the controls quickly, experiment with different movements. The intuitive motions will come to you faster.

    Unlockable Characters and Clothing

    • Completing the sponsorship challenges in career mode will unlock new characters. Complete the Cliche challenge to unlock Lucas Puig, the Plan B challenge to unlock Danny Way, the Alien Workshop challenge to unlock Rob Drydek, the Girl challenge to unlock Mike Carrol, the Baker challenge to unlock Terry Kennedy, the Almost challenge to unlock Chris Haslom, the Blind challenge to unlock Jake Brown and the Lakai challenge to unlock Eric Koston. You can unlock the skeleton T-shirt and pants by beating all story mode missions and milestones.

    Danny Way Megapark

    • The Danny Way Megapark is an unlockable level. First you must get an invite to the park, then you must win there. To get an invite, advance through all video and photoshoots for full sponsorship of trucks, wheels and board. If you win at the X-Games competition, you can get an invite without getting full sponsorship. Once you get an invitation, win the parks challenge and you will be able to skate in the park at any time.
