How to Play Nintendo Wii Archery

Wii Archery is one of a dozen games in "Wii Sports Resort," one of the first titles to feature Wii MotionPlus, which allows for greater motion control and comes packaged with the game. The goal of Wii Archery is to shoot three arrows as close to the center of a target as possible from increasing distances.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the Nunchuk with your dominant hand and the Wii remote in your other hand. Form them vertically like a bow.

    • 2

Aim your shot by holding down the "A" button and moving the Wii remote around to the desired location.

    • 3

Check the wind direction and speed before shooting. Factor in the wind to determine where to aim. The stronger the gust, the farther to the left or right of the bull's-eye you will need to move your desired shot.

    • 4

Hold the "Z" button on the Nunchuk and pull the controller back as you would if you were shooting a bow and arrow. A circle will appear onscreen and begin to shrink. The smaller it gets, the stronger and truer your shot will be, so continue to hold the button until the circle stops shrinking. Shoot the arrow by releasing the "Z" button.

    • 5

Aim higher as you begin shooting at more long-distance targets, as gravity will play more of a role in the arc of the arrow.

    • 6

Earn stamps by completing certain tasks. You can get the Bull Stampede stamp by hitting the bull's-eye three times in one round and the Sure Shot stamp by nailing the target with three arrows in all four rounds. Stamps can also be earned in the other sports in "Wii Sports Resort."
