How to Play My Sims on the Wii

MySims is a Nintendo Wii game that puts a new spin on the Sims series. Players take on the role of a new Sim in a barren town and, through various tasks, are able to revive their new home. Completing quests from Sims and hunting down special items not only improve the town but also unlock decorations and outfits to be used on the Sim and his home.

Instructions

    • 1

Begin the game by selecting one of the slots to save your progress. You will be prompted to name your town and Sim. (Choose wisely, as you cannot rename either once the game has begun.) You'll then be taken to the Sim creation menu.

    • 2

Customize the look of your Sim, which will be your in-game avatar. You can control physical characteristics like gender, skin tone and hair style and color. You'll also choose an outfit for your Sim to wear.

    • 3

Read the introduction to the game, where you'll learn that the town you've moved into has fallen on hard times. You'll notice that there are very few people and that the lawns and parks are covered with dead foliage. It will be your task to bring citizens and life back to the town.

    • 4

Take on your first task, which is the construction of your house. Using the Wii remote, you can drag and drop base blocks to create the structure of your house. After you've built the base for your house, select windows, roofs and doors to make your house livable. In addition to the basics, you can customize the look of both the inside and the outside of your house. Drag and drop these blocks from the menu to the location of your choice to create the object.

    • 5

Accomplish the next task, building a chair. This task will teach you the basics of your workshop, where you can create new items for the town and for yourself. You will begin with a blueprint for the chair. Starting with the bottom block of the blueprint, add additional blocks until you have created the chair. You can increase and decrease block sizes and attach them to one another until the object is completed.

    • 6

Acquire essences by befriending Sims through completing various tasks, participating in activities throughout the town such as fishing, and picking plants and flowers. These essences are added to your workshop and can be used in future constructions.

    • 7

Continue through the game, completing tasks for Sims and increasing your Star Level. As your level increases, you'll unlock new town areas, citizens and activities. Continue to customize your house with new objects you've made or received throughout the game.
