How to Defeat Zant in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

In the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the boss known as Zant is notoriously difficult to defeat, and it can be a long, drawn-out battle. Zant will change scenes as he forces Link to use almost every weapon that he has collected in his journeys to stay alive and win the game.

Instructions

- 1
  Equip your boomerang and roll right or left when Zant throws fireballs at Link as he flies around the room.

  Use your sword to throw a cyclone at Zant to knock him to the floor. Hit him with the sword until he disappears and starts to hover above Link. Repeat this step until the scene changes.

  Equip your Iron Boots to stand on the new battlefield. The ground will tilt back and forth, causing Link to fall into a pit if he is not wearing the special boots. Turn the boots off when Zant stops throwing fireballs.

  Follow Zant around the tilting, circular platform and he will disappear. Wait until he shoots some more fireballs. Jump or roll to the side to avoid them, and hit him with your sword until he fades away.

  Activate the Zora Armor when Zant changes the room to an underwater battlefield.

  Equip the Double Clawshots and swim forward until a large stone structure emerges from the floor. When the doors open, block the fireballs that Zant will throw.

  Use the Double Clawshots to pull Zant close to Link. Hit him with the sword until he vanishes back into the structure.

  Swim away when bubbles begin to form and wait for five more structures to appear out of the ocean floor. Turn in a circle to view each of the stone buildings until one of them opens to reveal Zant.

  Dodge the fireballs that he will shoot in your direction and quickly swim close to the structure. Use the Double Clawshots to grab Zant. Hit him with your sword repeatedly and he will change scenes again.

  Equip the Hero's Clothes and run to the center of the new room. It is surrounded by stone pillars and Zant will be standing on one of them. Hit the pillar that contains Zant and he will fall to the floor. Strike him with your sword and he will disappear and reappear on the top of another pillar. Repeat this step until he changes the room to ice.

  Equip the Ball and Chain weapon and get out of the way as Zant turns himself into a giant.

  Swing the Ball and Chain to hit Zant in the foot when he tries to crush Link. As he hops around and decreases in size, run up to him and slice him with the sword until he vanishes. Repeat this step one more time and the room will change to a courtyard.

  Hit Zant with the sword and he will disappear and reappear next to or behind Link. Continue to strike him as you dodge his cyclone attacks. After 15 to 20 hits, Zant will be defeated.
