Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place batteries in the Wii remote. To save on expenses, rechargeable batteries are recommended. These batteries cost more at first, but can save gamers money in the long run. Plug the game console to the wall and press the small red power button on the back of the Wii gaming console to turn it on. The remote cannot be configured to work with the Wii if the console is not turned on.
Find the card slot cover on the front of the Wii and open it. If the cover has been placed on the back of the Wii remote, take the cover off.
Press and release the red "Sync" button inside the card slot compartment. Push and release the small red "Sync" button on the Wii remote, which is located in the battery compartment.
Watch as the blue LED screen begins to blink on the front of the remote. When the blinking stops, the remote has been configured for use. Replace the battery cover and close the card slot cover on the Wii console. The remote has now been configured for use.
