How to Hula Hoop on the Wii Fit

Wii Fit makes exercising a little bit easier. There are four types of exercise in the game: yoga, strength training, aerobics and balance. Hula hoop is one of the aerobics games. With some help, you can get the most out of this exercise.

Once you've loaded Wii Fit, select "Training," then "Aerobics." Hula Hoop will be in that category.

    • 2

The game will count down from three. When it gets to one, start to swing your hips in a wide, neat circle. Keep swinging them in the same direction for the duration of the game. The Balance Board will pick up the shift in your weight and your Mii will hula hoop on the screen.

    • 3

There are two Miis on the screen in front of your Mii hula hooping. At various intervals during the game, they will throw hula hoops toward you. To catch the hula hoops, lean to the side where the hula hoop is being thrown. Your Mii will lean as well. Keep leaning until your Mii has caught the hula hoop. Then, continue swinging your hips in the same direction.

After you've been playing Wii Fit for a while, you will unlock a harder version of the hula hoop game. There is only one difference between this game and the original. You will be switching directions. For the first minute or so, you will be swinging your hips to the right. Then, you will be told to start swinging to the left. As long as you're going in the right direction and you're swinging your hips in wide, neat circles, you'll be fine.
