Find your natural curve. Even if you hold the controller as straight as possible, you will find yourself bowling a slight curve down the lane. Use this curve to your advantage and bowl more strikes. Once you know which way the ball curves, move your Mii character in the opposite direction to even out the curve. It may take a few frames before you find the right spot.
Use the bowling training modules. These are available for a reason, and each module will help you focus on different bowling strategies. The first module focuses on knocking spares, a crucial way to increase your score. The second module focuses on power and is more entertaining than bowling games themselves. The third training module is one of the hardest but will teach you to bowl accurately and learn how to spin the ball.
Twist the controller while bowling. Instead of starting in the straight position, give your controller a slight twist. Remember to move your Mii to the side for whichever hand you bowl on, because your ball will have a steep curve and a lot of speed.
Wait until your character runs all the way up to the line. This will bring you closer to the pins and allow your ball to have more power when it strikes them. Do not wait too long, or your bowler will lose momentum.
Play alone so you get turns more frequently. You will be bowling more and will start learning the flaws within your game. You can improve your score by playing back to back, and eventually it will not matter how long you have to wait in between turns.
Press the "Up" button on the Wii Remote. This button allows you to zoom in on the pins and line up for your shot. This is important for spare shots or if you have found a perfect strike zone that you are used to.
