Consider how you want to set up your Wii sensor bar. You want the bar to be approximately chest height if you plan to play games while standing up. If you plan to sit, you want to set it up lower.
Insert the sensor bar plug into the sensor bar connector slot on the back of your Wii console. The sensor bar connector tip and the connector slot are both red for easy identification. Secure with the adhesive foam tape if desired.
Turn on your Wii and enter the System Settings by going to the Wii Channel menu and clicking the Wii button on the bottom left portion of your screen-it looks like a circle. Select the icon that looks like a wrench and says "Wii Settings."
Peruse the options presented and click on the arrow that takes you to the second page and "Sensor Bar." Notice the choices displayed before you. Set your sensor bar position by choosing "Above TV" or "Below TV." When you click "Confirm" it saves your setting.
Adjust the sensitivity of your sensor bar by going into Sensor Bar Sensitivity screen and using the "+" and "-" buttons on your Wii remote until you see only two dots on your screen instead of one or four or five. Press the "A" button when you're finished.
