How to Complete the Freezeflame Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy

The Freezeflame Galaxy is a combination of fire and ice that tests Mario's ability to conquer both at the same time. The key to this galaxy is to keep your eyes open for flowers, both fire and ice. Mario needs them to get through this level.

Instructions

- 1
  Catch the penguin on the ice planet by ice skating (shake the Wii controller and run). After you catch him, launch to the base of the Frozen Peak of Barron Bill. Turn Mario into Ice Mario with an ice flower, and make your way up the mountain to Barron Bill.

  Find the Ice Flower in a crack under Barron Bill. Turn into Ice Mario, and make your way to the boss. Jump to avoid his shockwave when he drops. Spin attack him several times to defeat him.

  Collect the five launch stars to launch to the second planet in Freezeflame Galaxy. Climb the pole to find a gold coin. Grab it to turn it into a Fire Flower. Use the flower to transform into Fire Mario. Travel across the platforms lighting torches to open the gate.

  Use the Fire Flowers and Ice Flowers to transform Mario. Make your way through the three planets melting and burning a path. Grab the launch star on the third planet.

  Beat Freezeflame Galaxy Cosmic Mario in a race around three ice sheets. Skate the entire race, and cut the corners of the track to stay ahead.

  Collect the 100 purple coins on the next level. Slide down the ice slide to start, and make your way through the level collecting coins until the launch star appears.

  Capture the star at the summit of the mountain. Jump your way through the fountains, and melt the snowmen with Fire Mario to reveal an opening that leads to the star at the top of the mountain.
