Things You'll Need
Instructions
Turn on your Nintendo Wii. You can do this with the power button or by using one of your Wiimotes.
Place the Mario Party 8 disc into the Wii's optical drive. Make sure there isn't already a disc in the drive or you could damage your Wii.
Wait for the game to load and the main menu to appear.
Select the type of party games you and your friends want to play. Mario Party 8 can accommodate full parties of four players or less depending on who wants to play. People can also join at any time simply by selecting a character at the start of a new game.
Play in teams of two or in a free-for-all for the most common party games. You can also play "Tag" games where three opponents chase around the fourth player.
Situate everyone around the TV in player order, with player one on the far left and player four on the far right. This makes it easier to track each other's scores as you play, since the scoring boxes appear in relatively the same place on the screen from mini-game to mini-game.
Play the Battle Arena to see who can get the highest score before being eliminated. Players will play one at a time against a single opponent, moving from one mini-game to the next until they lose a round.
