How to Use a Parachute on the A Boy and His Blob on the Wii

"A Boy and His Blob" is a two-dimensional puzzle-themed platform available for the Nintendo Wii. The protagonist of the game is a young boy who must traverse obstacle-filled levels by making use of the special abilities that his companion, a blob, has available when you feed it various flavors of jelly beans. Because falling from great heights is fatal, you must make use of the parachute transformation of the blob to safely glide down cliffs. This is done by feeding the blob green beans and then packing it into your backpack.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch the game and play until you reach level 1-4. This is the first opportunity in the game to make use of the parachute transformation ability of the blob.

    • 2

Walk to the right and press the "A" button ("B" if you are using the classic controller) to jump over the pit with spikes. You will see a big wooden sign post showing the parachute transformation next to it.

    • 3

Hold down the "Z" button ("Y" if you are using the classic controller) and select the bean on the right of the radial menu. A picture that matches the parachute on the sign is shown in the middle of the menu if you select the right bean.

    • 4

Press the "B" button ("A" or "R" if you are using the classic controller) to drop the bean on the ground in front of your character. The blob will automatically eat it and transform into the parachute.

    • 5

Walk over the parachute to automatically pick it up and place it in your backpack.

    • 6

Walk towards the edge of the cliff and press the "A" button ("B" if you are using the classic controller) to jump off.

    • 7

Press the "A" button ("B" if you are using the classic controller) while falling to activate the parachute and glide down safely. You can control the direction of your descent with the control stick on the Wii nunchuck (left analog stick on the classic controller.)
