How to Beat the Final Stage of Sonic Colors for the DS

Act I

• 1

  Run forward until you are attacked by three enemies firing lasers. Shift planes to avoid the oncoming attack. Boost past the enemies with the "Y" button.

  Press the "A" button to spin attack the next set of enemies that rush by to defeat them.

• 3

  Race on through the level. You are now being pursued by an enemy shooting out smaller enemies to attack you. Either try to avoid the enemies or attack them with spin attacks or stomps by pressing the "A" button when you are on the ground or in the air.

  Continue running long enough and you will reach the finish line and the final boss battle.

Boss Battle

  Avoid the purple blocks that Robotnik throws at you, and then press the "A" button to hit him with the homing attack. Jump over the purple spiky balls that may also be thrown at you, and continue with the homing attacks.

  Continue attacking Robotnik with your homing attack until he begins firing a purple laser at you.

• 7

  Jump over the laser beam as it sweeps horizontally across the screen. Hit Robotnik when you can with the "A" button. Once you hit him twice, he will reverse the scenario and begin to chase after you.

  Dodge the lasers that Robotnik fires at you. He first throws blocks at you and then ricochets the lasers off the blocks. Continue avoiding his attacks and attacking him when you have the opportunity.

  Damage Robotnik until you see a cutscene, which requires you to press a button that is indicated to you on the screen. Press the appropriate button to perform the final attack. This causes the caves to begin to collapse.

  Avoid Robotnik as gaps appear in the ground and a dark orb approaches you from behind. Continue to avoid Robotnik until the orb reaches you. This cues the final cutscene and the end of the game.
