How to Get Drill When Defeating the Last Boss on Sonic Colors

Avoid the obstacles that Dr. Eggman throws at you. In the Wii version, dodge left or right to avoid the giant cubes that block your path. Double-jump to get over his lasers and spike balls. Sometimes Dr. Eggman will fall back behind you, making you dodge his attacks in the opposite direction. In the DS version, run back and forth on the floating platform to avoid the missiles Dr. Eggman launches at you. Once you have gotten past these obstacles, you will get close enough to the Nega-Wisp armor to perform an attack.

Attack Dr. Eggman by targeting a homing attack on one of his claws. In the DS version, you simply need to hit the outside of the armor. The Wii version is a little more complicated. After you bounce off of the claw, quickly target another attack higher up on his armor. Bounce your way up the armor until you have a clear shot at the cockpit and can hit Dr. Eggman himself. This is the only way to do any damage against this boss.

Continue hitting Dr. Eggman until you are joined by the yellow Wisp. This usually takes three to four successful attacks. The Wisps will not aid you in combat, but they will float along beside you until the end of the fight. Keep attacking Dr. Eggman. As you continue to damage him, you will be joined by the remaining Wisps. Once you have nearly worn down all of Dr. Eggman's hit points, Sonic will instantly gain access to Final Color Blaster.
