How to Get a Lightsaber Without Hacking on Animal Crossing: City Folk

The social adventure game "Animal Crossing: City Folk" for the Nintendo Wii allows you to collect, buy and exchange a host of different items between characters and players. One such item that has become popular with "Animal Crossing: City Folk" players is a lightsaber, though this weapon can only be introduced by hacking the game. However, if you can find a player who is willing to trade or sell you their Lightsaber, you can acquire one without having to hack your own version of the game.

Instructions

  Exchange friend codes for "Animal Crossing: City Folk" with another player who has a lightsaber they're willing to part with. Exchanging friend codes must be done outside of online play. Visit Wii gaming forums, blogs or websites to locate someone with a lightsaber if you don't already know someone who has one.

  Select "Play" from the menu to enter your own city in "Animal Crossing: City Folk." Open the "Friends" menu at the bottom of the screen using the Wii controller and select "Register a Friend." Enter the 12-digit friend code of the player who owns the lightsaber.

  Exit the gate of your town and click on the guard dog using the "A" button on the Wii controller. Click "I Wanna Go Out!" from the list of responses and select the lightsaber owner's city. Your character is transported to their city.

  Explore the city and locate the player's character, which will be carrying a lightsaber. Click on the character using the "A" button on the Wii controller and select "Buy Item." The player will either give it to you or set a price for the item.

  Accept the lightsaber using the on-screen buttons, which will pay the requested price if required. The lightsaber is added to your character's inventory. You can now return to your city by exiting through the gate of your friend's city.
