How to Do Alley Oops on NBA 2K10 for the Wii

"NBA 2K10" for the Nintendo Wii is the first game in the game series available for the Wii. It is a basketball game that has a wide variety of moves and shots you can perform. One of these shots is the "alley oop" shot. This shot throws the ball up near the basket so another player can slam dunk it. Throwing up the alley oop requires pressing specific buttons on your "Wii-mote" when you are going to shoot. Much of the process is automated, including to which player you are throwing the alley oop.

Instructions

    • 1

Control your player with the control pad on the Wii-mote while you play. Get into shooting range of the basket, which is anywhere near the 3-point line or closer.

    • 2

Look for a person who is open near the basket. Check the court around them to make sure they have an open lane to the basket.

    • 3

Point your player towards the basket and the player you want to perform the alley oop. The game will automatically read that you want to pass to this player and will throw him the alley oop.

    • 4

Press the "Z" button on the back of the controller and hold it down when you are ready to do the alley oop. Press the "A" button to throw the ball into the air towards the basket and the player.

    • 5

Move towards the basket after throwing the ball. Get into position underneath the basket for a rebound in case your player misses the dunk.
