How to Connect Pokemon HeartGold to the Wii

"Pokemon Battle Revolution" lets players of the Nintendo DS game "Pokemon HeartGold" connect to the Wii and copy captured pokemon from "Pokemon HeartGold" to "Pokemon Battle Revolution." This gives "Pokemon Battle Revolution" players additional pokemon to use in the game's 11 tournaments. To connect the two games, players need to have Wi-Fi enabled on both the DS and the Wii. Players must start a new game in "Pokemon Battle Revolution" to copy the "Pokemon HeartGold" to the game.

Instructions

    • 1

Begin a new game in "Pokemon Battle Revolution" by selecting "Colosseum Mode" and then an empty save game slot.

    • 2

Enter your name and watch the opening cutscene.

    • 3

Select "Storage" in the menu that appears after the cutscene.

    • 4

      Select "Copy Pokemon."

    • 5

Select "Copy Pokemon" again and the Wii begins searching for the DS.

    • 6

Power on the DS. Insert "Pokemon HeartGold," load the game's main menu and select "Connect to Wii." It is important that the DS is powered on after the the Wii begins to search for a device so it picks up the signal and begins copying "Pokemon HeartGold" data automatically.

    • 7

Wait for the system to copy the pokemon from "Pokemon HeartGold." "Pokemon Battle Revolution" indicates when it is finished with a screen that says "Copy complete." Turn off your DS after a message appears telling you to do so. The transfer completes and the pokemon will be usable in "Pokemon Battle Revolution."
