How to Defeat Pete in the Quest to Get to the Clock Tower in Epic Mickey

Pete regularly trips up Mickey during gameplay in ̶0;Epic Mickey̶1; for Wii. During the ̶0;European Boat Ride̶1; level, you must reach the Clock Tower. However, when you get to the Clock Tower at the end of the level, you find Pete blocking the way. If you traded ̶0;Pete̵7;s Log̶1; to the gremlin earlier in the game, you have nothing to barter with and you must defeat Pete̵7;s henchmen before entering the Clock Tower. Pete doesn̵7;t jump into this fight, so in order to get past him and enter the Clock Tower, you need to defeat his goons.

Instructions

    • 1

Give Pete his log if possible. When you hand over ̶0;Pete̵7;s Log,̶1; you can enter the Clock Tower without a confrontation. If you don̵7;t have this item anymore, you̵7;re in for yet another one of Pete̵7;s battles.

    • 2

Splash paint thinner on the floor underneath the first wave of enemies. The entire floor can be removed, revealing a pool of deadly paint thinner below. When the enemies fall through the hole in the floor, they dissolve in the thinner below. This tactic works for all three waves, killing them faster than if you sprayed paint thinner directly onto the enemies. Leave a section of floor around Mickey intact, giving you some room to evade the enemies if they don̵7;t all die with the first application of paint thinner.

    • 3

Jump to escape any remaining enemies until you can refill your paint thinner, or use any available guardians to battle the enemies directly. Paint thinner refill buckets are found near where the other enemies fell through, as is the case of most fallen foes in "Epic Mickey." Keep dodging enemy attacks as you collect refill buckets.

    • 4

Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the next waves. Once all three waves of enemies are defeated, you can access a new room. Inside this room, you find treasure chests and the door to the Clock Tower.
