How Do You Become a Member in Animal Crossing: City Folk?

Crazy Redd operates a black market shop in the city in "Animal Crossing: City Folk" for the Nintendo Wii. Redd sells some items you can't find anywhere else, often for a hefty price, but he won't open his doors to you unless you have an invitation from another member of Redd's store. With a little persistence, you can get an invitation from one of the inhabitants of your village.

Instructions

  Go to the bus stop and take the bus to the city.

  Exit the bus. Go up the stairs and head down the alley to the left. Knock on the door. Redd tells you that you need an invitation to become a member.

  Take the bus back to your town.

  Speak to each resident in your town until one of them asks you if you've heard of Crazy Redd's store. You may need to speak to each person multiple times before you trigger the conversation about Redd.

  Answer "No" to the inhabitant's question. The towns person tells you that she'll send you an invitation in the mail.

  Open the mailbox outside your house after 5 p.m. in-game time on the following day to find your invitation.

  Take the bus to the city. Go to Redd's shop and show him the invitation. Pay Redd 3,000 bells to become a member and access his wares.
