How to Make the Zapper Work on the Wii

The Wii Zapper is a shell case that holds the Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk attachments. Once these two things are properly snapped into place and connected, you can use the Zapper as a virtual gun to shoot bad guys in your video games. Not all games are compatible with the Wii Zapper, so be sure that you check the game packaging before buying the game for that purpose or trying the Zapper with one of your existing games.

Instructions

  Place the Wii Zapper shell in front of you on a flat surface, such as a table.

  Insert the Wii remote into the upper section of the Wii Zapper shell. The sensor of the remote aligns with the Zapper shell edge that points forward, as if you were pointing a gun at the TV. When aligned properly, the Wii Remote arrow keys are close to the top edge of the shell that faces forward. Snap the remote firmly in place.

  Put the Wii Nunchuk into the lower back section of the Wii Zapper shell. The Nunchuk joystick should points upward.

  Close the small door on the lower section of the Zapper over the Nunchuk's cable. This helps to make sure the Nunchuk doesn't become loose during game play.

  Insert the Nunchuk's cable into the small crevice on the bottom side of the Zapper.

  Plug the Nunchuk cable into the Wii Remote. You will have to reach the end of the cable around one side of the Zapper to properly connect it.
