How Do You Get Points for Tom Nook in Animal Crossing: City Folk

Points that you earn at Tom Nook's shop in "Animal Crossing: City Folk" for the Wii are redeemed for unique Nintendo-themed items. You can earn Tom Nook points in two different ways: use the Point Tracking Machine, or PTM, in his shop to earn visitor points, or purchase items from his inventory. Your member rank increases when you earn enough points, giving you a discount on all items in his store.

     Use the PTM in Tom Nook's shop and select "visitor points." If you are using the PTM in your own town, you earn three points; if you use a PTM in a friend's town that you visit, you earn five points.

     Purchase items from Tom Nook's in-stock inventory. You earn one point for every 100 bells spent on items.

     Order items from Tom Nook's catalog. You earn one point for every 100 bells spent on catalog orders.
