How to Defeat the Mechanic Pirate in Epic Mickey

In "Epic Mickey," players journey through a twisted version of Disneyland. Everything from Main Street to Tomorrow Land has been transformed into a dilapidated, mechanical version of itself. One of the boss battles is against an altered Captain Hook, often mistaken for a mechanical pirate. The battle takes place on the Jolly Roger. The deck's surface is covered in mechanical tracks, which is how Hook gets around. Players can push Hook around the tracks, or take the battle up to the sails of the ship to save Peter Pan's trapped sprite.

Instructions

Break the Barrels

  Use your paint thinner to destroy the barrels Hook hides in.

  Attack Hook once his barrel has been destroyed to send him to the end of his mechanical track. The end of each track contains a set of gears. Knocking Hook into them will open the path to the plank at the center of the ship.

  Knock Hook around the ship until the plank is extended and the gate in front of it is open. When Hook pops up on the track connected to the plank, attack to send him off the plank. Below, a crocodile is waiting to eat him in the water.
Free the Sprite

  Use your paint to rebuild the staircase in the upper left section of the ship. Climb to the upper deck of the Jolly Roger.

  Paint the chests next to the steering wheel and jump on them to get access to the sail rigging above you.

  Climb the sails using paint to construct solid sails to jump on and gear boxes that lift you higher. Use thinner to destroy obstacles blocking your path and bags of weights holding the sails down.

  Reach the top of the sails and you'll see a gold cage with a green light inside. Attack the cage to break it open and free the sprite. It will find Pete Pan, who will defeat Captain Hook.
