How to Get a Silver Shovel in Animal Crossing

The days pass in real time in "Animal Crossing: City Folk," and you'll have a random chance to collect the Silver Shovel after a certain time of the day. This shovel is indestructible and gives you the chance to earn more bells (which count as currency) when you strike money rocks. The Silver Shovel is held by a man who prefers to keep his location a secret, and he'll offer you the shovel after you find him.

Instructions

- 1
  Go into the city at or after 8 p.m. Go all the way to the right and you'll see a tunnel that is blocked off with traffic cones.

  Go to the right to enter Resetti's Surveillance Center. If one of the traffic cones has been removed then there will be a clear path to the right along the sidewalk to the Center. If the traffic cones are still in place then it will be impossible to go right and you'll have to try again on another night.

  Talk to Resetti in the store. He'll be angry at you for finding the Center and will give you the Silver Shovel during the course of the conversation.
