How to Open All the Characters in Brawl

Released for the Nintendo Wii game console in 2008, "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" features multi-player fighting action with a bevy of classic Nintendo characters to choose from, including Link, Pikachu and Mario himself. However, in addition to the well-known characters, there are even more fighters that players must unlock before battling with. Each character unlock requires the completion of a specific challenge, or a certain number of matches.

Instructions

- 1
  Finish "Classic Mode" in less than 12 minutes to unlock Captain Falcon. Alternately, play through 70 VS. matches.

  Complete the "100-man Brawl" challenge, or complete 50 VS. matches to unlock Falco.
- 3
  Beat "Classic Mode" with the difficulty set to "hard" playing as either Link or Zelda to unlock Ganondorf. Alternately, complete 200 VS. matches.

  Complete "Classic Mode" to unlock both Jigglypuff and Marth.

  Defeat Lucario in "Adventure Mode" using Meta Knight to unlock him, or finish five Target Tests. Another option is to play through 100 VS. matches.

  Complete "Classic Mode" without using one continue to unlock Luigi.

  Beat "Target Smash" using 30 different characters to unlock Mr. Game &Watch.

  Complete five VS. matches to unlock Ness.

  Collect 250 trophies to unlock R.O.B.
- 10
  Play through 15 matches on the "Shadow Moses Island" level to unlock Snake.
- 11
  Complete 300 VS. matches to unlock Sonic, or complete "Classic Mode" with 10 separate characters.

  Complete the "Subspace Emissary" and "Classic Mode" using any character to unlock cartoon Link.
- 13
  Complete "Subspace Emissary," then play through "Boss Battle Mode" with either Falco or Fox to unlock Wolf.
