How to Get Past the Dam in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon

"The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon" is the third and final installment of The Legend of Spyro trilogy -- a separate series of the Spyro franchise -- that was published by Activision and released in 2008. The Legend of Spyro series marks its distinction from the main Spyro series with its combat-based gameplay in lieu of the platforming "Spyro the Dragon" introduced. "Dawn of the Dragon" distinguishes itself more so with its increased emphasis on exploration, facilitated by the larger levels, and its cooperative play, which introduces a new character, Cynder.

Instructions

  Fly down to the right end of the dam and open the Shadow Door. Inside you will find an orb; pick it up.

  Go outside and to the left of the Shadow Door. There should be scratch marks for you to follow to some vines where you must climb to the top.

  Jump onto the platform at the top and then down onto the foot of the dam where you'll find a blue circle to place the orb.

  Place the orb in the circle and the hexagonal pole will unlock, making it movable. One character must get on the end of the pole while the other pulls it out by flying away from the dam.

  Repeat Steps 1 through 4, this time placing the orb on the other end of the dam, at the other foot.

  Go to the middle of the dam and you can now fly on the platform there. Through the door is an elevator.

  Take the elevator to the top, where there'll be a save point and a door. Head through the door and you'll fight a large enemy.

  Go down the corridor on the right after killing him and into the next area. Climb the vines to the right and get the orb at the top.

  Jump back down to the entrance area and there are more vines. Climb them to the top, where you'll find another blue circle.
- 10
  Repeat the pole step and this will trigger some enemies to fight. The level is complete after defeating them.
