How to Set Up a Promethean Board in Wii

A promethean board or SMART Board is a device that can transform a normal computer into an interactive touchscreen. Educators use SMART Boards along with educational software to create an interactive learning approach within the classroom. Despite the troubleshooting difficulty and the lengthy set up, once in place, the SMART Board can be a valuable piece of educational equipment. A SMART Board can connect to most gaming consoles, including the Wii.

  Find the yellow, red and white input jacks on your SMART Board projector. Locate the Wii's A/V (audiovisual) cable for the Wii and plug it into the Wii console. Plug the three inputs from the SMART Board into the RVA inputs on the projector console, making sure that each colored input matches the corresponding colored input on the projector console.

  Locate the Wii's sensor bar and plug the cord into your Wii console. Put the sensor bar on the SMART Board's pen tray.

  Find your power adapter for your Wii and plug it into a power outlet. Turn on the Wii and then press the video selector button on your SMART Board. Once you see the Wii menu on your SMART Board screen, you are ready to begin.
